Printing Business Cards Online
Like many companies, CCSL was recently looking for a business card printing company. There are countless options in this area, especially if your company is ready to do business with an online digital printing company.
We decided that it would be interesting to compare two well-known service providers and to make our results public.
After giving our business cards a little facelift, we ordered two identical batches from two different printing companies: MOO and VistaPrint
. Both companies ship to Canada and allow you to order your business cards online. Of course, they also offer much more than just business cards, so we also took the opportunity to order some promotional material.
The Results - Our Business Cards
We ordered the cards on Jan 18, 2011 and received them on Jan 29 (VistaPrint) and Feb 1 (MOO). 
We didn't pay extra to receive them as soon as possible, we only requested the most inexpensive shipping option (free* for VistaPrint and $17.50 for MOO).
While it can be difficult to clearly explain the difference in quality on our website, we can definitely see it and feel it with the cards in our hands. Here are two pictures that can help us prove our point.
The first picture (on the left) shows a total of 14 cards, the top 7 (thicker) cards are from MOO, and the bottom (thinner) cards are from VistaPrint. While both companies provided us with a suitable thickness, our MOO cards feel smooth, soft, thick and overall more professional.
The cards didn't look the same for 2 important reasons: MOO cards are slightly taller (5 mm) and narrower (3 mm) than regular business cards, but nothing too extreme, and they still fit in regular business card holders.

We uploaded the same digital image with both companies. Because of the slight differences in format, the image had to be cropped for our MOO cards.
You can also notice a discrepancy between colours. The printed VistaPrint cards we received have a pinkish hue, which is even more noticeable on the back (shown here). This was our second order from VistaPrint and our first order also had this pinkish hue issue on the back.
